Blur

Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of Blur's extension, dashboard, and website.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Blur's browser extension, web dashboard, and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing the extension, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Note: This page is a baseline template provided for transparency. It should be reviewed and finalized by legal counsel before being relied upon as a binding agreement.

1. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Workspace owners and admins are responsible for the members they invite and the configuration they apply.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
  • attempt to circumvent the Service's security, access controls, or billing;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization;
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.

3. Local-first processing

Blur's detection and masking run locally in your browser. Prompt content is not transmitted to Blur for inspection. Usage telemetry is limited to aggregate counts as described in the Privacy Policy and Security Overview.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor. Seat counts, plan tiers, and subscription status are managed through the billing system. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

5. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and the list of Subprocessors. You may request access to, export of, or deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; certain provisions (such as limitations of liability) survive.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Blur is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Blur reduces but does not guarantee the prevention of sensitive-data disclosure; you remain responsible for what you submit to third-party AI platforms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Contact
